The Role

Due to continued success and an exciting pipeline of work, they are seeking an experienced General Foreman to join their civil engineering division on a series of highways projects in the Didcot area. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual looking to play a key role in the delivery of technically challenging infrastructure schemes.

The General Foreman will take responsibility for managing site operations, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate site operations, supervising teams of Site Engineers, Section Engineers, and Foremen.
  • Ensure strict adherence to Health & Safety policies and promote a proactive safety culture on site.
  • Oversee all aspects of project delivery, ensuring work is completed on time, within budget, and in line with specifications.
  • Liaise effectively with clients, designers, and subcontractors to maintain strong working relationships.
  • Manage quality assurance and environmental standards across the project.
  • Prepare progress reports and attend monthly site meetings.
  • Drive innovation, introducing process improvements where appropriate.
  • Control costs and contribute to the financial management of the project.
About You
  • Proven experience as a Foreman or General Foreman within civil engineering or highways construction.
