Responsibilities


  • Responsible to Head of Football for the day-to-day management of the Football programme. To create a culture, which encourages high personal standards on and off the field, commensurate with a high-performance environment.

  • Act as the player liaison, communicating with all individuals.

  • Implement a succession-planning programme through recruitment, retention and transition of players into the senior college team(s).

  • Support a playing and training strategy which is coherent to the players and recognises the strengths and weaknesses of the team and individuals.

  • Encourage the use of analysis systems to develop the team and individuals.

  • Assist the Head of Football with written criteria for the selection of players, which should be based on personal and positional qualities. These criteria should be published to players.

  • Attend trials and other fixtures in order to identify talented players.

  • Attend regular update meetings with the Head of Football.

  • Manage players schedule to include the following: - strength and conditioning monitoring, injury evaluation, practice times, ensure clarity of communication systems, recovery sessions, meeting times and match day preparation.

  • Welsh language skills are not essential but would be desirable for this role.



To be eligible for this role you will need to hold at least a UEFA B license in a Football Coaching qualification, recognised by the FAW and have at least two years coaching experience. Training sessions take place 4:00pm-5:30pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday with games on a Wednesday from 12:00pm-4:00pm. The successful candidate will have a set schedule across these timings that will equate to 8.5 hours on a weekly basis. Although the timings will be set, some flexibility maybe required at times.


Please note that this is a fixed term contract until March 2026.
