Are you a passionate chef that is obsessed with being surrounded by and sampling the best food around? Do you scour your local areas for the best restaurants and eateries, always looking for inspiration and try new and exciting dishes? Do you follow all the latest food trends and have an instinctive understanding of what excites ‘foodies’? Do you have a network of chefs, kitchen staff, and restaurant owners in your local area, who you can reach out to for feedback and support?

If so, then we have a fantastic opportunity for you! We’re Feastwalk - a new food tour business that wants to completely change how we experience food tourism in our cities. We want to showcase the best restaurants and eateries, and skip the tourist traps and gimmicks.

To do this, we want to recruit local chefs around the UK to help us design and lead what we call ‘routes’. These are tasting menus on foot, where we take guests to 2,3,4 or more venues and help them sample the best dishes along the way. Each route will have a theme or focus - maybe it’s all about Michelin level gourmet food. Or maybe it’s a showcase of local pizza. Maybe a route is focused on a new food trend. The important part is that not only do we take them to these venues, we give them samples of the stand-out dishes to try, we explain how the food is made, and we give our guests some kind of exclusive/behind-the-scenes access or experience. Maybe we’re invited to eat at a chef’s table near the kitchen, and a chef comes out and explains the dishes. Maybe there is a quick tour of the kitchen so we can see how they’re made. Maybe the chefs give us a sample of some key special ingredients, or they test out a new dish on our guests.

We think this is a great way for restaurants to promote their business, to experiment with new ideas and get feedback, and earn some additional revenue.

This role is freelance and part-time, but could evolve into a full-time role if this was something suitable for all parties. You’ll work alongside the founding team to create the routes, and will be supported in every way possible to create innovative and successful experiences.
