Full-Time Food Technician - Secondary School - Huyton

Are you passionate about food, nutrition, and supporting young people in a practical learning environment? We're looking for a full-time Food Technician to join a friendly secondary school in Huyton, playing a key role in supporting engaging and safe food technology lessons.

What you’ll be doing:
  • Preparing ingredients, equipment, and resources for Food Technology lessons
  • Supporting teachers during practical sessions to ensure lessons run smoothly
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and well‑organised food tech classroom
  • Ensuring health & safety and food hygiene standards are followed at all times
  • Supporting students during practical work and encouraging confidence and independence
  • Managing stock, ordering supplies, and helping with food prep where required
What we’re looking for:
  • Someone available to work full-time, Monday to Friday during term time
  • Experience working in a school, kitchen, or food preparation setting (desirable but not essential)
  • A good understanding of food hygiene and health & safety practices
  • Confidence working with secondary-aged pupils (11-16)
  • A reliable, organised, and proactive team player with a positive attitude
