Job description

We're excited to share an excellent opportunity to join the team as a FM Mechanical Engineer based in Edinburgh. This is a permanent, full-time position (37.5 hours per week) offering a competitive salary and benefits package.

About the Role

As part of our on-site engineering team, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and supporting a wide range of mechanical systems across the hospital – including heating, ventilation, pressurised steam, and medical gas systems. You will carry out planned maintenance, inspections, and fault‑finding to ensure all critical systems operate safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and service large mechanical systems such as boilers, HVAC, and medical gas systems.
  • Diagnose and repair faults using schematics and analytical tools.
  • Complete planned preventive maintenance and compliance documentation.
  • Adhere to all site safety and infection control protocols.

What We're Looking For
  • Recognised Mechanical/Engineering apprenticeship qualification (e.g., C&G, Scotvec SVQ3 or equivalent)
  • Experience in mechanical maintenance or FM environments (hospital experience advantageous)
