A healthcare organization in Billericay is seeking an FM Assistant for cleaning duties. The role involves ensuring cleanliness in assigned areas in accordance with specified schedules and includes weekend shifts. Ideal candidates should possess an understanding of hygiene practices and have good English communication skills. This position offers competitive pay of £12.51 per hour for 20 hours per week.
FM Assistant - Cleaning
Band 2 - £12.51 per hour (£24,465 per annum pro rata) • 20 hours per week (Monday to Sunday 14:00 - 18:00) • Mountnessing Court, Billericay
Closing date: 30 September 2025
Unsocial Hours Payments: Saturday – time plus 41% of the salary; Sunday – time plus 83% of the salary.
This post includes weekend shifts and the shift pattern requires 2x members of staff.
To ensure that the ward(s) / areas assigned are cleaned in accordance with the Work Schedule for those ward(s) / areas. Duties include vacuuming floors; sweeping, scrubbing and mopping; high and low dusting; wiping and polishing surfaces; cleaning toilets, sinks, baths and showers; cleaning kitchens and related equipment; defrosting fridges regularly; restocking consumables (toilet tissue, hand towels, soap); descaling taps; general waste and bin management including bin liners. (Note: Cleaning of items should be performed as long as they have not been soiled with body fluids.)
