Overview

FLT Counterbalance Driver

We are working with a leading company in the UK specialising in steel finishing services, including hot dip galvanizing, spin galvanizing, shot blasting, and powder coating.

Responsibilities

• In this role, you'll operate a Forklift Truck (Counterbalance) to move products and materials throughout the production facility and yard. Safety is paramount, so you'll need to ensure safety measures are in place while handling heavy materials. You'll also collaborate with production teams to maintain workflow and achieve daily targets.

Qualifications

• Have over three months of experience operating a counterbalance truck.
• Hold a current counterbalance forklift truck certification.
• Possess proven experience in loading and unloading vehicles.
• Have a strong understanding of paperwork, particularly in reading and numeracy.
• Be available to work rotating day shifts.
• Be open to an initial 12-week temp-to-perm arrangement.

Benefits

The role offers a Monday to Friday rotating shift pattern, with hours ranging from early morning to late evening:

• 6am / 2.30pm - 10am / 6.30pm - 1pm / 9.30pm

Here's a breakdown of the pay structure:

• £14.00ph Standard hours
• £21.00ph Overtime (Mon-Sat)
• £28.00ph Overtime (Sunday)
• £55.00 per week PM Shift allowance

Permanent Placement (After 12 Weeks):

• £14.20ph Standard hours
• £21.30ph Overtime (Mon-Sat)
• £28.40ph Overtime (Sunday)
• £55.00 per week PM Shift allowance
• Bonus payments.
