Flexible EYFS Teacher - Mansfield

Location: Mansfield, Nottinghamshire
Contract Type: Flexible / Supply
Start Date: January 2026
Pay Rate: £120-£180 per day (dependent on experience and responsibilities)
Qualification Required: QTS (Early Years or Primary)

Overview

Education Personnel is working alongside a well‑established primary and nursery setting in Mansfield to appoint a flexible EYFS Teacher. This role suits a teacher who enjoys working within early years and is confident adapting to different class structures, routines, and age groups across Nursery and Reception.

The setting places a strong emphasis on early communication, independence, and learning through structured play. Children benefit from well‑organised indoor and outdoor provision, with clear daily routines that support consistency and security. EYFS staff work closely together to ensure children are well prepared for the transition into Key Stage 1, with a particular focus on early language, social development, and foundational learning skills. Leadership is approachable and practical, and EYFS teachers are supported with clear expectations, realistic planning requirements, and access to appropriate resources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging EYFS lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage framework
  • Create a safe and purposeful learning environment that supports early development
  • Observe, assess, and record pupil progress using appropriate EYFS assessment methods
  • Support children's early language, social interaction, and independence
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and early years staff
  • Adapt provision to meet the needs of individual children, including those requiring additional support
  • Maintain clear routines and expectations to support behaviour and learning
  • Communicate effectively with staff and, where appropriate, parents and carers
