Director Business Analyst / Data Business Systems

2-3 Day a week in the office

We are working with a highly regarded global investment organisation that is looking to hire a senior data focused business analyst at Director level. This role will take a leading position within a front office data and technology team and will help shape the next stage of their investment data platform.

This position sits across data engineering investment users and product teams. It is suited to someone with a strong background in data analysis or data product ownership within financial services. Fixed Income knowledge is helpful but not essential. Individuals who have moved from development into analysis or product responsibilities are also encouraged to apply. Clear communication and the ability to connect business needs with technical delivery are essential.

What You Will Lead

• Partnering with technology and investment teams to translate complex data requirements into clear deliverables
• Steering design discussions and helping define scalable solutions that improve data quality and support investment decision making
• Guiding analysts and engineers through the full delivery cycle including refinement planning and documentation
• Maintaining a structured product backlog and ensuring priorities reflect real business value
• Creating high quality specifications test plans and process flows
• Using SQL to investigate data behaviour understand system logic and support production issues
• Contributing to the ongoing enhancement of data models workflows and platform architecture

What We Are Looking For

• Eight or more years in a data oriented analysis or product role within financial services
• Strong experience with data platforms data products or complex data sets in an investment environment
• Ability to work confidently with developers across SDLC
• Python and SQL skills
• Fixed Income experience is desirable but not required
