A leading fitness event organization is seeking a Fitness Events Manager to lead the planning and execution of high-energy fitness competitions. This full-time permanent role requires managing logistics, budgets, and ensuring participant satisfaction. Ministry of Sound opened in 1991 in a disused bus garage in a forgotten corner of South London. It was the first nightclub in the UK to have a 24‑hour licence, didn’t serve alcohol and featured an earth‑shaking sound system in a specially constructed dance box.
We went on to become the world’s largest independent record company (now with Sony), and stage giant dance events, including one for 50,000 people at the o2 to celebrate the Millennium.
Ministry of Sound Games is now taking over the iconic London nightclub for a high‑energy fitness event like no other. Combining 35 years of party heritage with cutting‑edge workouts, this all‑new experience blends explosive group training with a live DJ soundtrack, turning fitness into a full‑blown day festival - Same sweat. Same dance floor.
As a business we don’t take ourselves too seriously, like to laugh and have fun, but we have high standards, a relentless attention to detail and the continuous improvement of our product as we work hard as a team. We hate cliché, doing things the way others do and continuously seek to differentiate our brands and products almost as a point of pride.
The Fitness Events Manager will lead the planning and delivery of Ministry of Sound Games—an experiential fitness competition combining community, socialisation, and world‑class music and production. You’ll manage the entire event lifecycle, from creative and logistics to onsite execution, ensuring an exceptional participant experience and strong commercial performance. This role demands operational excellence, leadership skills, and a solid understanding of fitness and mass participation events.
You will oversee event planning, budgeting, logistics, staffing, and post‑event evaluation. This includes negotiating with suppliers, managing risk and safety, and creating detailed operational plans. You’ll work with partners and talent teams to deliver activations and secure headline DJs, ensuring the experience is engaging, brand‑aligned, and safe.
Operational duties include managing equipment, staging, AV, signage, staffing, crowd flow, and emergency procedures, while maintaining compliance with health and safety standards. You’ll own budgets, monitor financial performance, and integrate sponsorships and revenue opportunities.
As a leader, you’ll recruit and develop coaches, contractors, and crew, set clear standards, and manage staffing plans. You’ll also collaborate with marketing, creative, and brand teams, maintain strong supplier relationships, and support sponsors with activations.
Post‑event, you’ll deliver reports on performance, safety, feedback, and financial outcomes, and identify innovations to enhance future events.
You have proven experience delivering large‑scale fitness events, strong operational and logistical expertise, and excellent project management skills. You’re confident managing suppliers, stakeholders, and teams, with a solid understanding of health and safety and risk management.
Highly organised and calm under pressure, you combine strong numeracy and budget management skills with a passion for fitness, wellbeing, and community‑driven experiences.
All other duties as assigned.
This is a full time permanent and onsite role.
