Fire Sprinkler Design Engineer

Willenhall

£50K - £70K (DOE)

Permanent

Working with a growing Fire Protection company who are on the lookout for an experienced Fire Sprinkler Design Engineer to join their team based in Willenhall.

Key Responsibilities – Fire Sprinkler Design Engineer

• Full understanding of BSEN 12845, BSEN 9990, BSEN 9251 (NFPA & FM Global beneficial) and have the ability to problem solve and resolve issues that occur on a daily basis.
• Ensure clients/ insurers requirements are adhered to at all times.
• Work closely with the project team to ensure designs are completed and on time and to the technical submissions standard
• Coordinate sprinkler system layouts to suit the building structure and other services, taking into account financial implications.
• Comply relevant documents to tender works from a clients initial inquiry
• Carrying out site surveys prior to design collating the required information
• Complete ISO-9001 paperwork relating to projects

Qualifications & Experience – Fire Sprinkler Design Engineer

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience within Sprinkler Industry
• LPCB Basic - mandatory
• LPCB intermediate or LPCB FHC – not essential but would be an advantage
• Strong proficiency in design software including AutoCAD and Revit, as well as hydraulic calculation software such as Canute (FHC).
• Experience of carrying out site surveys, attending client meetings and site installations
• CSCS Card desirable but not essential
• Customer care/relationship building skills
• Able to work as a member of a team
• Able to work without direct supervision
• Able to deal directly with customers in a professional manner and represent the company
• Office based
