Job description

We are looking for an experienced Engineer to work as a member of the Mitie Fire & Security Systems Operations Field Service team. You will ensure the effective delivery of PPM, reactive calls, and small works, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities include routine servicing, testing, inspection, repairs, and installation of fire extinguishers and associated equipment, adhering to legislative and qualitative standards, with proper documentation and records management. Excellent communication skills and basic proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel are required.

The role demands working in accordance with high health and safety standards and previous experience in a similar role within the fire and security systems industry, including service testing, inspection, fault-finding, and compliance with relevant standards and codes.

Active participation in company training to stay updated on technical aspects is expected. Ideal candidates will have experience with PPM, accident reporting, RAMS, and health and safety legislation, preferably in engineering. Sharing knowledge, problem-solving skills, initiative, and the ability to work independently are highly valued.
