Job summary

A technology consulting firm is seeking a Fire Detection Contract Engineering Lead for a 14-month fixed-term contract in Bristol. You will be responsible for technical management and support during the design, procurement, and delivery phases of fire detection systems. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of electrical regulations, fire protection standards, and experience in instrumentation equipment. This position offers hybrid working with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote.

  • Technical management skills to support clients and suppliers during design and procurement.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure technical clarification and resolution of supplier and client queries.
  • Manage technical interfaces and documentation related to fire detection.
  • Lead reviews of supplier technical documents.

Skills

Knowledge of RCC-E electrical technical regulations

Job description

We are currently looking for a Fire Detection Contract Engineering Lead for a 14 months fixed term contract.

Activities to be carried out as part of the service :

The service consists of monitoring our main equipment supplier Handovers on the scope of fire detection JDT. The contract engineering lead service main mission is to ensure :

  • Technical clarification and resolution of supplier and client technical queries
  • Technical management of the supplier and support to the client in their contractual relationship during design procurement and delivery phase regarding the schedule costs specifications and requisitions.
  • Follow up of all equipment manufacturing and delivery to site
  • Lead reviews of supplier technical documents and annual surveillance report
  • Management of risks opportunities open Points UK Design Changes and Exemptions requests generated by our supplier
  • Management of contract transfer sheets that informs the clients about contract modification via dedicated tools
  • Management of interfaces with my Clientsdisciplines involved in the fire detection
Qualifications :

Knowledge of the RCC-E electrical technical regulations and the technical reference system (NFC15-100 / NF C 13-200 / BS7671 / IEC 60909) -

Knowledge of fire detection and protection standards

Knowledge of the nuclear field via school curriculum or professional experience

Knowledge of the processes involved in industrial projects in the energy field

Technical documents reviews

Experience in fire detection field instrumentation equipment design procurement testing or installation

Additional Information :
  • Fixed Term Contract - 14 months
