Job Title: Fire Damper Engineer.
Location: Basildon, Essex.
Salary / Benefits: £24k – £45k + Training + Benefits

Industry leading provider of Fire Safety services with a continuously growing presence in the South East region, are now seeking to take on a Fire Damper Engineer. This role would be suitable for someone who has experience installing fire dampers and inspecting fire doors in line with BS 9999 guidelines across Educational, Hospitality, Healthcare, Leisure, Manufacturing, and Industrial sites. For the successful candidate, our client can offer an attractive holiday allowance, company pension scheme, overtime and generous travel time rates.

Consideration will be given to candidates from: Brentwood, Maldon, Chelmsford, Cheshunt, Bishop’s Stortford, Colchester, Southend-on-Sea, Dartford, Gravesend, Gillingham, Chatham, Maidstone, Tonbridge, Croydon, Epsom, Reigate, Crawley, Haslemere, Horsham.

& Qualifications

  • Working hands on for a reputable Fire Safety company as a Fire Damper Engineer.
  • Extensive knowledge of BS 9999 / relevant Health and Safety guidelines.
  • Good IT skills, able to produce comprehensive, detailed reports.
  • Able to work well independently.
  • Excellent communication skills.
The Role
  • Installing, servicing, and carrying out maintenance services of fire dampers.
  • Inspecting fire doors.
  • Installing fire dampers correctly in line with manufacturing and industry relevant guidelines.
  • Creating detailed reports based on site findings.
  • Working in line with BS 9999 / Health and Safety guidelines.
  • Working closely with clients, providing excellent technical support.
  • Providing advice to clients regarding the current state of fire dampers.
