Job Opportunity: Fire & Security Engineer
Location: Covering North West and Yorkshire
Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Responsibilities
- Servicing Fire and Security Systems including Intruder Alarms, Access Control, CCTV, and Fire Alarm Systems (both addressable and conventional panels)
- Commissioning of systems (following training)
- Fault finding and diagnostics across the systems listed above
- Communicating effectively with customers and colleagues
- Participation in an on-call rota (approximately 1 in 7 weeks)
- Use of company-provided laptop and mobile phone
Skills and Experience
- Essential: Experience in servicing, maintaining and fault finding on Fire Alarm Systems, CCTV, Intruder Alarms, Access Control, Refuge intercoms
- Essential: Full UK driving licence
- Essential: Able to pass security screening
- Desirable (Training Provided if Needed): Fire: Notifier, Gent, Advanced, Morley, C-Tec, Kentec
- Desirable (Training Provided if Needed): Intruder: Galaxy, Texecom
- Desirable (Training Provided if Needed): Access Control: Paxton, Inner Range, PAC
- Desirable (Training Provided if Needed): CCTV: Hikvision, Bosch, Dahua, Pelco
Salary and Benefits
- Competitive salary (based on experience)
- Additional earnings available through: Overtime; Work outside normal hours; Participation in on-call rota
- On-call standby rate above current industry rates
- Travel time paid after 30 minutes each way
- Time and a half paid after 40 hours
- Double time paid after 12pm on Saturdays and all-day Sundays
- Company vehicle (with personal use) and fuel card
