Overview

Job Opportunity: Fire & Security Engineer

Location: Covering North West and Yorkshire

Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Responsibilities

• Servicing Fire and Security Systems including Intruder Alarms, Access Control, CCTV, and Fire Alarm Systems (both addressable and conventional panels)
• Commissioning of systems (following training)
• Fault finding and diagnostics across the systems listed above
• Communicating effectively with customers and colleagues
• Participation in an on-call rota (approximately 1 in 7 weeks)
• Use of company-provided laptop and mobile phone

Skills and Experience

• Essential: Experience in servicing, maintaining and fault finding on Fire Alarm Systems, CCTV, Intruder Alarms, Access Control, Refuge intercoms
• Essential: Full UK driving licence
• Essential: Able to pass security screening
• Desirable (Training Provided if Needed): Fire: Notifier, Gent, Advanced, Morley, C-Tec, Kentec
• Desirable (Training Provided if Needed): Intruder: Galaxy, Texecom
• Desirable (Training Provided if Needed): Access Control: Paxton, Inner Range, PAC
• Desirable (Training Provided if Needed): CCTV: Hikvision, Bosch, Dahua, Pelco

Salary and Benefits

• Competitive salary (based on experience)
• Additional earnings available through: Overtime; Work outside normal hours; Participation in on-call rota
• On-call standby rate above current industry rates
• Travel time paid after 30 minutes each way
• Time and a half paid after 40 hours
• Double time paid after 12pm on Saturdays and all-day Sundays
