Fire Alarm Engineer – Glasgow

Salary: £35,000 - £43,000 + Overtime + Company Van + Fuel Card + Training

Job Type: Permanent | Full-Time

The Role

As a Fire Alarm Engineer, you will be responsible for the service, maintenance, and fault‑finding of a wide range of fire alarm systems, ensuring compliance with BS5839 and delivering a professional on‑site service to clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service, maintain, and fault‑find addressable and conventional fire alarm systems
  • Work on leading fire alarm brands including Gent, Kentec, C‑Tec, Advanced, Hochiki, Menvier, and Ziton
  • Diagnose faults, replace components, and restore systems efficiently
  • Carry out functional testing and complete accurate service reports
  • Provide a professional and customer‑focused service on‑site
  • Manage your own workload, van stock, and documentation
  • Work independently while being supported by a strong engineering team
What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience in fire alarm servicing, maintenance, or commissioning
  • Solid understanding of current fire alarm regulations and standards
  • Experience working with multiple fire alarm panels (training provided where required)
  • Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills
  • Full UK driving licence
  • ECS or FIA training advantageous but not essential
