Warehouse Operative (with occasional driving duties)

Location: Cambridge

Working Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:30am - 6:00pm (37.5 hours per week)

The Role

You will be responsible for placing goods into storage, picking stock, consolidating orders, and assisting in the loading of vehicles. From time to time, you will also be required to carry out delivery driving duties. This role is performed in a way that ensures the highest level of service to customers while maintaining excellent standards of health, safety, and environmental care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out all duties safely in line with relevant legislation and company EHS policies
  • Use equipment responsibly, following safe working practices
  • Keep the warehouse and yard clean and tidy at all times, promptly clearing spillages and minimising waste
  • Accurately receive goods into the warehouse and check deliveries
  • Place goods correctly into storage bays, ensuring safe storage, lifting, and lowering practices are followed
  • Assist in loading vehicles, working with drivers to ensure compliance with all legal requirements on vehicle loading
  • Support occasional delivery driving when require
