Financial Controller / Project Accountant – Home based – £70,000 plus benefits

A highly successful, international Asset Management company are looking for a commercial Financial Controller or Project Accountant / Senior Management Accountant to join their team.

Reporting to the CFO and leading a small team, you will be responsible for the management of all project finance, risk and claim management and ensuring adherence to compliance standards.

Note: this role can be fully remote (home based) or hybrid in the London office.

Key Responsibilities

• Management of project finances; ensuring the accuracy of cost and pricing calculations and of project finances.
• Attending commercial project status meetings; creating forecast and cost monitor accordingly.
• Invoicing according to project progress and contractual terms and ensuring proper payment allocation.
• Ensuring compliance with FRG (Financial Reporting Guidelines) and local GAAP requirements.
• Assess, respond, monitor, report, and escape all financial and commercial risks, e.g., calculation, tax, insurances, currency.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant tax regulations, e.g., PATAC, NCM, PE management (tax returns, transfer pricing, delegation concepts).
• Ensuring proper handling of bank accounts including petty cash, if applicable.

Qualifications

• Experience of financially controlling external customer projects.
• Proven experience in Accounting and Controlling, Reporting, Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting.
• Qualified accountant ACCA/ACA/CIMA or equivalent.
• Process oriented person with strong analytical skills.
• Exposure to risk management is an advantage.

Compensation

The salary on offer for this role is up to £70,000 plus bonus and benefits.
