Are you an experienced finance leader ready to make a strategic impact? We're looking for a Finance Controller - Director to join our team and drive financial excellence across the business.

About the Role

You’ll lead all financial operations, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and aligning financial strategy with business objectives. You’ll provide critical insights to support decision-making and long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all financial transactions, policies, and compliance requirements.
  • Develop and manage annual budgets; monitor performance against targets.
  • Produce accurate financial reports and forecasts for internal and banking deadlines.
  • Manage cash flow, banking relationships, foreign exchange, and import loan administration.
  • Ensure timely reconciliation of accounts and adherence to tax and payroll obligations.
  • Drive improvements in financial processes and reporting systems (SAGE).
  • Liaise with auditors and provide ad hoc financial analysis.
  • Support the Managing Director in strategic planning and operational decisions.
  • Lead HR compliance, including contracts, policies, and disciplinary procedures.
  • Manage and develop the Accounts Assistant.
What We're Looking For
  • Minimum 5 years in a senior finance role.
  • Professional accountancy qualification (FCCA or equivalent).
  • Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning.
  • Proven experience in selecting ERP systems and accounting software, including evaluating suppliers and implementation strategies.
