Job description

Anderson Knight are delighted to be partnering with our client, a market leading business, on the senior appointment of a Financial Controller. This is a critical, operational appointment, reporting directly to the Finance Director and acting as a trusted advisor to the executive leadership team.

This is a strategic role, you will work closely with key stakeholders, playing a key role in driving growth and profitability by identifying and driving change initiatives whilst managing the day to day of the Finance function to add value and enhance performance.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee and manage daily finance functions, including Payroll, Purchase Ledger and Credit Control
  • Prepare and present monthly management accounts to senior leadership
  • Ensure full compliance with HMRC regulations, including CIS, VAT and PAYE reporting
  • Perform regular Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Lead cash flow forecasting and day-to-day cash management
  • Collaborate with operational teams across the business to drive financial insights and improvements
  • Partner with Commercial Teams to align financial operations with business goals
  • Support the preparation of year-end statutory accounts
  • Liaise with external Auditors and Corporation Tax professionals
  • Provide financial insights and operational support to board level
  • Carry out additional ad hoc tasks and projects as required

You’ll be a proactive finance professional with a solid understanding of core finance processes and regulatory compliance. Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally are essential, as is a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
