Job description

Equifind are supporting a recently Private Equity backed SME in the Technology space who are hiring a Financial Controller to report into the Head of Finance. Based by Oxford Circus. Their global reach enables investment firms to carry out their work in a wide variety of dynamic sectors.

The Company has a headcount of currently 150 and will be rapidly expanding. This is a newly created Financial Controller position, reporting into the Head of Finance, who is BIG 4 trained and comes with a host of PE experience under her belt.

The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced PE backed environment, where you will have autonomy to put processes in place and streamline the existing ones. The CFO wants someone confident to be able to partner with the C Suite. This role can grow into a FD position as the company grows.

Responsibilities include:

  • Financial Reporting & Compliance: Oversees the preparation of financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Leads budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with the executive team to align with company financial objectives.
  • Month-End Consolidation: Leads the multi-entity, multi-currency month-end consolidation and close process to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Cash Flow Management: Ensures effective capital allocation and monitors liquidity to support business operations.
  • Internal Controls: Implements and maintains robust internal controls to protect company assets.
  • Financial Analysis: Provides detailed financial analysis to inform strategic decisions and drive growth initiatives.
  • Process Improvement: Optimizes financial systems and processes to improve accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Tax Compliance: Collaborates with external tax advisors to ensure compliance with indirect taxes and mitigate potential risks.
  • Corporate Provider Relationship Management: Oversees and manages relationships with external corporate service providers, ensuring they meet the company's operational and strategic needs.
  • New Systems Implementation: Leads the successful implementation and integration of new finance systems.
Requirements

Ideally qualified, with 4 years+ PQE experience, a positive and proactive nature, and the ability to deal with senior stakeholders.
