Are you looking for a role to fully develop your career, have close mentorship from a fantastic Finance Director and lead the day to day finance function?

I'm seeking an experienced and driven Financial Controller to join a growing business in Bury St Edmunds. This is a key leadership role where you will oversee all financial operations, ensure robust financial controls, and provide strategic insights to support the business in achieving its goals. The position is paying up to £65,000 plus many other great benefits!

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the finance team, managing day-to-day operations including management accounts, statutory reporting, and payroll.
  • Develop and maintain strong financial controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Produce accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Manage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Partner with senior management to provide commercial insight and support decision-making.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and stakeholders.
  • Drive process improvements and support the implementation of new systems where required.
About You
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with proven post-qualification experience.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge with experience in financial reporting and compliance.
  • Commercially aware, with the ability to influence and challenge at a senior level.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills.
  • Strong IT and systems knowledge (experience with ERP systems advantageous).
  • Proactive, analytical, and detail-focused, with strong problem-solving skills.
