Accounts & Tax Assistant – Staffordshire Practice

Staffordshire | Full-Time, Permanent | up to £50,000

Responsibilities

• Prepare accounts for SMEs and sole traders
• Assist with personal and corporate tax returns
• Process VAT submissions, CIS, and reconciliations
• Support payroll across multiple sites (RTI, PAYE, auto-enrolment)
• Liaise with HMRC and manage client documentation
• Use Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, and Excel to streamline workflows

Ideal Candidate

• ACA or ACCA part-qualified/ AAT Level 4 / ATT / CIPP or similar
• Experience in practice or bureau setting
• Strong attention to detail and client communication skills
