Job summary

A well-established logistics group is seeking an Interim Financial Accountant for a 12-month fixed-term contract with a strong potential for extension. This hybrid role requires strong communication and excellent Excel skills along with a solid understanding of IFRS and financial control processes. The ideal candidate is either available immediately or with a one-month notice period and is fully qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA). Salary is between £65,000–£70,000 plus bonus.

Qualifications

• Newly qualified or 1-3 years PQE.
• Strong financial control processes knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve period-end journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support reconciliation review processes and controls testing frameworks.
• Contribute to the preparation of consolidated and subsidiary financial statements.

A well‑established logistics group is undergoing an exciting period of change and is seeking a Financial Accountant to support its finance team on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract, with strong potential for extension.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and approve period‑end journals and balance sheet reconciliations
• Support reconciliation review processes and controls testing frameworks
• Assist with accounting queries and provide technical guidance
• Contribute to the preparation of consolidated and subsidiary financial statements
• Support year‑end audit processes and monthly IFRS 16 activities
• Perform ad hoc tasks to assist the wider finance team

Ideal Candidate

• Immediately available or 1 Months Notice
• Fully qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
• Newly qual or 1-3 years PQE
• Strong understanding of IFRS and financial control processes
• Excellent Excel skills; SAP experience is a plus
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
