Financial Accountant. OUR CLIENT is an established accounting and finance consultancy who provide services to real estate and private equity firms. As they continue to grow, they have now created a new role for a Financial Accountant (real estate) to work on with their real estate clients.

THE KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

for Financial Accountant will include (but may not be limited to):

  • Prepare annual statutory financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP (FRS 102 / FRS 101) and IFRS.
  • Assist with the production of annual consolidated financial statements, including supporting schedules, reports, and correspondence.
  • Prepare and submit Corporation Tax returns, VAT returns, and other statutory filings.
  • Act as the main point of contact for auditors, managing queries and ensuring a smooth audit process.
  • Perform month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Prepare and monitor cash flow forecasts.
  • Produce monthly management accounts, variance analyses, and performance reports.
  • Input accounting data accurately and efficiently into accounting systems (Xero, ClearBooks, etc.).
  • Perform bank, purchase ledger, sales ledger, and other balance sheet reconciliations.
THE PERSON REQUIREMENTS

for Financial Accountant:

  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified (newly qualified to 1-2 years' PQE).
  • Real estate or practice experience advantageous.
  • Proficient in Xero, ClearBooks, and Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Clear, professional communicator with a proactive approach.
  • Confident working with data and producing accurate reports.
  • Comfortable suggesting process improvements and driving positive change.
