What skills and experience we’re looking for

We are seeking to recruit an experienced, efficient and effective Finance Officer to support our School Business Manager in this permanent role. The successful candidate will be self-motivated with excellent interpersonal skills and work with within our busy office team to support the smooth running of the financial administration of the school.

Key Responsibilities
  • Raising orders and commitments for goods and services on the financial system FMS
  • Matching up the POs, requisitions and delivery notes, preparing invoices for payment.
  • Liaise with the suppliers and contractors to resolve any finance queries.
  • Maintaining the Contract Register
  • Support with raising invoices for pupil funding income
  • Support with lettings administration and invoicing
  • Support with payroll processing timesheet input
  • Preparing any cash or cheque for banking
  • Provide Reception cover over the lunchtimes
  • Understand and work within the School’s Policies and Procedures including Finance, Safeguarding and Data Protection.
