Finance Officer - Ballycastle - Permanent
An opportunity has arisen for a Finance and Business Support professional to play a vital role in delivering effective financial and business operations, ensuring accurate management, compliance, reporting and contributing to the overall efficiency and sustainability of the organisation.
- £33,000+ per annum
- Monday to Friday
- 35 days annual leave
- Permanent role
What you'll be doing
- Ensure accuracy of day-to-day financial records including income/payments, purchases, and nominal ledger transactions.
- Manage the month end close process including journal preparation, debtors and creditors review and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Produce monthly management accounts, forecasting and associated reports for the Senior Management Team.
- Monitor restricted and unrestricted funds, ensuring appropriate allocation and reporting.
- Prepare financial reports for funders and gathering of documentation as per the funder requirements to support the return, ensuring submission on a timely basis.
- Process and prepare payments for salaries and record and update any monthly sickness/ annual leave entitlement.
What you'll need
- Qualified AAT, IATI or part-qualified ACCA, CIMA or ACA AND experience in a similar financial role, or extensive experience in a similar financial role.
- Strong financial analytical skills with demonstrable experience of a logical and methodical approach to problem solving.
- Demonstrable experience of preparing and processing Payroll including HMRC and pension submission.
- Proven ability to manage a range of competing weekly and monthly priorities to deliver accurate work in line with a monthly schedule and to tight deadlines.
