Salary: £40k - 50k per year + Hybrid working

We are supporting an Education provider who is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Finance Manager to take the lead on financial planning, compliance, and reporting functions. This role blends strategic leadership with hands‑on oversight to ensure strong financial governance, effective resource management, and reliable data to support organisational growth.

Key Responsibilities

Lead forecasting, cashflow, long‑term financial planning, and financial modelling for bids and partnerships.

Provide insightful reporting, ensure compliance, manage audits, and oversee monthly management accounts.

Improve finance systems and integrations, develop dashboards, and streamline processes for greater efficiency.

Manage the annual budgeting cycle, support budget holders, and monitor financial performance.

Foster collaboration across the organisation, represent the Finance function, and support professional development.

Oversee core financial operations, including reconciliations, AP/AR, expenses, VAT, payroll, pensions, and accurate record‑keeping.

The successful applicant will have:

Recognised accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent)

Proven experience in financial planning, reporting, and compliance

Advanced Xero user with strong management accounting knowledge

Strong analytical, Excel, and problem‑solving skills

Excellent communication skills, able to explain finance clearly to non‑financial colleagues

Experience in enhancing finance systems and automation

  • Exposure with external funding
