Job description

We're excited to be partnering with a highly respected company in Hereford, known for its innovation and excellence within its sector. Our client is currently seeking a part-time, permanent Finance Manager to become a key member of their established finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a business that values quality, integrity, and continuous improvement.

  • Ensuring accurate, up-to-date financial records in line with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Leading budgeting, forecasting, and reforecasting processes.
  • Producing and interpreting monthly management accounts, balance sheets, and control account reconciliations.
  • Managing year-end audit processes and liaising with auditors and tax advisors to finalise statutory accounts and tax returns.
  • Preparing monthly cash flow and working capital forecasts.
  • Monitoring trends through monthly reporting and supporting financial decision-making.
  • Continuously improving accounting systems and financial processes.
  • Overseeing the sales and purchase ledger, resolving aged debt issues, credit notes, and RMAs.
  • Managing quarterly VAT returns and ensuring compliance through accurate reconciliations.
  • Mentoring finance team members and promoting best practice.
  • Supporting payroll, pension submissions, and compliance with all payroll-related legislation.
