- Ensuring accurate, up-to-date financial records in line with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Leading budgeting, forecasting, and reforecasting processes.
- Producing and interpreting monthly management accounts, balance sheets, and control account reconciliations.
- Managing year-end audit processes and liaising with auditors and tax advisors to finalise statutory accounts and tax returns.
- Preparing monthly cash flow and working capital forecasts.
- Monitoring trends through monthly reporting and supporting financial decision-making.
- Continuously improving accounting systems and financial processes.
- Overseeing the sales and purchase ledger, resolving aged debt issues, credit notes, and RMAs.
- Managing quarterly VAT returns and ensuring compliance through accurate reconciliations.
- Mentoring finance team members and promoting best practice.
- Supporting payroll, pension submissions, and compliance with all payroll-related legislation.
