Overview

We are recruiting for Graduates to join our Finance team at the McLaren Technology Centre in Woking, Surrey. As a Finance Graduate, you will gain valuable experience across technical accounting, financial control and business partnering, working at the heart of decision-making in one of the world's most iconic automotive brands. This is a three-year structured programme designed to accelerate your development and support your journey toward becoming a qualified accountant. During the programme, you will study towards an accredited professional qualification (either CIMA or ACCA) while gaining practical, rotational experience in a fast-paced, high-performance environment. Please note this is an onsite position.

What You\'ll Do

Over the course of three years, you will complete a series of immersive placements within the Finance function, building both your technical expertise and strategic business acumen. Key areas of experience will include:

  • Technical Accounting & Financial Control: Gain exposure to accounting principles, compliance, audit preparation, and financial reporting.
  • Support the month-end close process and accuracy of the general ledger.
  • Apply financial controls to ensure risk mitigation and regulatory compliance.
  • Business Partnering: Work closely with commercial and operational teams to understand cost drivers and revenue forecasts.
  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
  • Provide actionable insights and support decision-making across functions such as Manufacturing, Commercial, Aftersales, and Product Development.
  • Project-Based Work: Participate in cross-functional initiatives to improve cost efficiency, reporting accuracy, and financial transparency.
  • Support the wider Finance team during high-profile business planning cycles and strategic reviews.
Qualifications
  • You must have achieved, or be on track to achieve, a 2:1 or above in a relevant Finance degree.
  • Strong analytical thinking, commercial awareness, and an interest in financial strategy.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships.
  • A keen interest in the automotive industry and a desire to contribute to a high-performance culture.
  • A proactive, organised mindset with a commitment to ongoing development and learning.
  • Personal note: You must also bring a passion for cars, and a desire to work at the cutting edge of the automotive industry within our Finance business area.
