Overview

We're looking for a high performing Finance Business Partner to join our Commercial Finance team in Reading. As a business partner, the post holder will provide collaborative financial and analytical leadership to the Impulse customer teams and to build and deliver the annual net revenue, profit, and share plans.

Responsibilities
  • Partner with Impulse teams to maximise annual net revenue, market share, and profit delivery.
  • Provide best-in‑class financial support through optimised reporting, customer performance analysis, and strategic insight.
  • Deliver strategic recommendations to unlock future growth, including optimization of pricing / promotional activity, trading terms, and new business proposals.
  • Identify performance risks and opportunities, stewarding robust investment evaluation processes to ensure informed decision‑making and value creation.
  • Lead period close and monthly forecasting for the channel, delivering clear performance insights and applying learnings to drive continuous improvement in future planning cycles.
  • Manage internal GTM allocations to ensure timely and accurate reporting and insight is available for each sub channel.
  • Build strong cross‑functional relationships, including coaching and capability development of Impulse Commercial teams and Commercial Planning Analysts, while driving future‑fit ways of working across teams.
  • Direct Line Management for 1 UK Business Partner and dotted‑line coaching and mentoring for 2 ICC based Business Partners.
  • Lead cross-functional Impulse initiatives, coordinating across Business Partners to deliver analytical insights and actionable recommendations that support strategic decision‑making.
Qualifications
  • Finance professional with strong academic background and post‑qualified experience.
  • FMCG experience is preferred.
  • Highly analytical and numerate, self‑motivated and independent, with excellent collaboration skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to influence at all levels.
  • Strong prioritisation and time management.
  • Vocal and bold, comfortable challenging others & voicing opinions.
  • Proactive self‑starter who can lead & drive the agenda, influencing others and drive for results.
  • Strong collaboration & matrix management skills required.
  • Planful, comfortable with the detail but able to step back and call the “so what”.
  • Leverages understanding of key business drivers to deliver result.
