Finance Business Partner

£50,000 - £60,000

Gloucester - predominantly home-based with occasional travel to sites

A hands-on commercial Finance Business Partner role for a multi-site organisation. With very occasional travel to its Gloucestershire head office and regional sites, this is a predominantly work-from-home position, offering a terrific opportunity to partner with a range of non-finance staff.

Key responsibilities
  • Reporting the financial position of a number of sites within the group, providing a finance business partnering service to the leadership teams at each site.
  • Preparing the month end management accounts, with meaningful commentary and analysis.
  • Producing budgets and monthly reforecasts.
  • Helping and guiding budget-holders to maintain good budgetary control.
  • Ensuring leadership teams are fully versed in their financials and are able to make appropriate decisions as a result.
  • Maintaining an accurate forecasting model for rolling 12-month period for each site, and 5 year budgets.
  • Supporting activity related to future growth projections and development of business cases.
  • Embedding financial controls and processes on site.
  • Providing insightful analysis, performance monitoring and financial modelling as appropriate.
Candidate profile
  • Qualified or part-qualified accountant with experience of finance business partnering.
  • Experience of management accounts and an awareness of how this integrates into the statutory accounts.
  • Strong IT skills with an advanced knowledge of Excel.
  • Good attention to detail, whilst having the ability to see the bigger picture.
  • Excellent team player with strong communication skills, with an ability to clearly explain financial concepts to non-financial managers.
  • Credibility and confidence to work with senior managers across the organisation.
