We're recruiting for a Finance Assistant to join a busy, fast-paced environment in Newmarket, on permanent, full-time basis.

Reporting into the Management Accountant, this role includes:-

  • Assisting with Purchase Ledger including downloading supplier invoices and requesting approvals.
  • Covering for Purchase ledger and payment runs.
  • Collaborating with invoice approvers with any queries and unapproved invoices.
  • Liaising with procurement and other areas of the business to deal with queries and discrepancies.
  • Verifying and setting up new suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Intercompany agreements with other group entities.
  • Analysis of certain expenditure.
  • Credit card checking, processing and analysis.
  • Checking and processing employee's expenses.
  • Processing payments.
  • Assisting with Office of National statistic surveys.
  • Running weekly reports and customer statements.
  • Answering internal and external queries.

The role will also include complete ad-hoc projects for the Finance Director which have the potential to evolve over time.

We're looking for someone with Accounts/Finance experience, along with:-

  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Competent at Excel and the Microsoft suite
  • Excellent organiser and the ability to multitask
  • Initiative to work independently
  • Team player with a flexible approach

Previous experience of month end reporting and meeting deadlines is desirable.

Location:

Newmarket (Full time onsite initially with hybrid working available after initial period of time and training)

Hours:

Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm

Salary:

Negotiable and competitive salary
