Your Responsibilities

  • Make sure business decisions are backed by solid data and insight
  • Spot trends, understand the impact of any changes in waste tonnage, and help us stay ahead of legislative shifts, and maximising new income opportunities
  • Work closely with senior leaders, providing advice that shapes strategy and policy

From analysing tonnage data to validating invoices and preparing reports for Cabinet, your work will have a real impact on the council, Wiltshire residents, and our shared environment.

About You
  • Strong financial experience
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Experience supporting and getting the most out of your team, and a clear, confident approach to communication
  • Relationship-building skills

Some evening and weekend work is part of the role, and PPE is required when visiting operational sites.

Why us?
  • 26 days annual leave plus bank holidays, rising to 31 after 5 years of continuous service
  • Flexible working
  • Family-friendly policies
  • Local government pension scheme
