We're looking for a motivated Finance professional to join our Site Finance Team. The successful candidate will report into the Manufacturing Finance Lead, supporting the Heads of Manufacturing, Operations Managers and Process Improvement Leads to drive operational efficiency, support delivery of site KPIs, whilst ensuring we meet financial targets and compliance commitments. The role involves day‑to‑day preparation and analysis of performance reporting for the site, management of circa £50m of Variable Input Costs, and support of monthly forecasts, the annual planning cycle, and process‑improvement projects. This position sits at the heart of the Operations Team and requires someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, juggling a variety of demands and finding solutions to complex issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a strong understanding of the Variable Input Costs of the site and provide detailed analysis to guide the Operations Team.
- Prepare line cost analysis data to support justification and delivery of Process Improvement Plans, Savings Initiatives and Capex Projects in collaboration with Operations, Continuous Improvement, Functional and Capital Engineering Teams.
- Product Costing & Inventory
- Manage site process to cost semi‑finished and finished goods produced at Kitt Green.
- Act as gatekeeper for changes to material master data and master recipes.
- Ensure trials, experiments and new product launches are conducted within the agreed process and, where appropriate, costs are recharged to R&D.
- Coordinate product status reviews in preparation for AOP.
- Review and update Supply Chain Loss Provisions, including processing stock disposal requests and recharges.
- Cost Accounting & Monthly Financial Reporting
- Prepare weekly Direct Labour cost and variances to standard for allocation to Manufacturing Portions.
- Undertake weekly reconciliation and PO process for the Agency Labour provider.
- Prepare Utilities cost including drafting monthly provisions and invoice reconciliation.
- Conduct ad‑hoc analysis of VIC performance variances to Latest Estimate and AOP by package and provide commentary on drivers.
- Coordinate preparation of daily, weekly & monthly KPIs for site reporting.
- Attend and contribute to weekly and monthly review meetings with Operations Team.
- Budgeting & Forecasting
- Support Direct Labour, Utilities, MUV and VIC forecast and AOP within monthly and annual cycles.
- Collate Variable elements of the AOP Standard Setting process, including BOM changes, scrap percentages, interchanges, machine and labour hours, line crewing and relevant SKF.
- Proactively identify risks and opportunities to the financial outlook.
- Financial Compliance
- Establish and implement appropriate internal control processes to align with KHC policies.
- Drive compliance with corporate financial policies and regulatory requirements across all functions.
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly financial closure procedures and reporting in accordance with corporate policies and applicable accounting standards. Support Annual Stock Take and timely resolution of audit queries.
- Document and maintain site finance processes, including process maps and standard operating procedures.
- Collaborate with Central EPDM Finance and other UK factory teams to align on policies and best practice.
Qualifications & Personal Attributes
- Part‑qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA accountant with a university degree (2:1 or above in any discipline) or 3+ A Levels (Grade C or above). Exposure to business, economics or mathematics is desirable.
- Bright, enthusiastic individual looking to develop a career in Finance.
- Comfortable working with numbers and analysing data to spot trends or issues.
- Competent Excel user, interested in learning more about finance systems and tools.
- Good verbal and written communication skills; able to ask questions and share ideas with colleagues.
- Curious and eager to understand how things work.
- Adaptable and comfortable with change or new challenges; adapts quickly to new tasks.
- Demonstrates integrity and a strong sense of responsibility.

- Interested in operational processes and a curiosity about how this relates to the finances of the business. Training in the Kraft Heinz Management System (KHMS) will be provided to support your development in this area.
