The post holder will be based at 250 Euston Road in offices across the road from the main hospital site, with flexibility to work remotely for part of the working week.
Responsible to the Finance Manager and Head of Finance, you will work in partnership with the relevant directors and service leads to provide an all-round financial management service including planning, forecasting, cost improvement identification and tracking, and providing support to business cases.
The Trust receives approximately £40m funding annually to support education and Training, and a key part of this role is to ensure the funding is managed and allocated across the Trust to support educational needs. There is also a growing focus on clearly demonstrating how the funding it receives is being spent; this role will be essential in developing and maintaining the financial modelling required to support this.
In addition, the role will oversee the Workforce Directorate which will involve a conventional financial management service to be provided but will also offer plentiful challenges and development opportunities.
You will be expected to contribute to the running of the Finance department, generate service improvement ideas and deputise as required for the Finance Manager and Head of Finance. You will be a strong communicator and will be able to work with non-Finance staff to present complex financial information in ways which will ensure engagement and understanding.
