Job summary

A leading engineering services company in Elstow is seeking an experienced Field Service & Repair Engineer. You will manage customer repairs, perform on-site service, and carry out assembly work as needed. The ideal candidate has over 4 years in the field, mechanical skills, and strong reporting abilities. This position offers a 37-hour work week with flexible hours.

Qualifications

  • At least 4 years of experience as a Field Service & Repair Engineer.
  • Experience in maintaining processes and ensuring on-time delivery.
  • Ability to work to engineering drawings and manage workloads.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the customer repairs process and provide on-site service work.
  • Diagnose faults and perform scheduled maintenance.
  • Carry out assembly work on the shopfloor as needed.

Overview

Field Service & Repair Engineer. We are working with a global leader who have been established for 50 years, they are part of a 7.2 billion dollar organisation. They specialise in design, manufacture and supply for industrial applications. We are currently recruiting for an experienced Field Service & Repair Engineer to join the team in Bedford.

Responsibilities

The Field Service & Repair Engineer / Assembler will be responsible for managing the customer repairs process as well as providing on-site service work at customer sites. This includes diagnosing faults, performing scheduled maintenance, and ensuring optimal performance and also carry out assembly work on the shopfloor when there is a no field service and repair work.

Qualifications
  • Working experience as a Field Service & Repair Engineer is required at least 4 years
  • Must have experience of maintaining processes and on time delivery.
  • Experience of mechanical / hydraulic service / maintenance engineering
  • Experience working remotely on customer installations and managing own workloads
  • Experience of producing reports in MS Word and Excel
  • Ability to work to engineering drawings
  • Good manual dexterity
  • Experience with building assemblies
  • Ability to work efficiently to deadlines
  • Flexible and hardworking
Hours and work arrangements

Hours 37 per week. For weekend work, these days can be claimed back as additional holidays.
