A growing clean tech company is looking for a Field-Based Engineering Project Lead to oversee installations and provide client support while traveling throughout the UK. This position offers a salary up to £50,000 along with additional benefits.

Qualifications

Location: Trowbridge HQ with UK-wide travel

Salary: Up to £50,000 + travel allowance + TOIL (subject to final benefits discussion)

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead installation, commissioning, and servicing of systems across UK sites
  • Deliver technical support, fault diagnostics, and remote troubleshooting
  • Train customer teams on system operation and maintenance
  • Produce service reports, manuals, and documentation packs
  • Support R&D and sales in testing new waste streams and product iterations
  • Participate in design reviews and recommend engineering improvements
  • Collaborate with global service teams to ensure upgrade consistency
  • Plan weekly travel schedules and prepare site documentation
Initial Projects
  • Large systems that can hold 10,000kg system installs in Derbyshire and Devon
  • Refurbishment and recommissioning
  • Engineering validation and testing of new releases
About You
  • Electro-mechanical background with strong diagnostic skills
  • Comfortable with frequent, short-notice travel (2 days to 3 weeks)
  • Able to read P&IDs, schematics, and manufacturing drawings
  • Experience with machinery installs and RAMs documentation
  • Familiar with cloud-based reporting and remote access tools
  • Adaptable, deadline-driven, and confident working independently
  • Strong communicator with a customer-first mindset
