Overview

Alexander James Recruiting is currently working with an international supplier of heavy material handling equipment who are looking to employ a new field-based engineer to service their client base across Colchester, Essex and Kent. With a competitive salary & overtime opportunity plus numerous other benefits, this is a great opportunity for an experienced field engineer.

Responsibilities
  • Servicing a fleet of heavy material handling equipment, including straddle carriers, forklift trucks and other material handling equipment
  • Developing a knowledge of a wide variety of equipment within a technically developing fleet
  • Reporting to the Service Manager to ensure all equipment servicing is carried out efficiently
  • Working alongside the site-based engineering team
Requirements
  • Preference for an individual from a crane or forklift truck background, but this is not essential. Open to candidates from other backgrounds including plant, powered access and related sectors, provided you have strong hydraulics and pneumatics experience and an NVQ level 3.
  • Efficient at reading schematic drawings
  • Willing to get to grips with new, complex equipment
  • You will be within commutable distance of either Colchester, Essex or Kent
