Overview

Field Service Engineer - Weighing Equipment. £28,000 - £35,000 Basic + Overtime - Realistic OTE £35,000+. Paid Travel | Paid Lunch | Company Vehicle | Long-Term Stability. Home-Based - Covering North West London.

Role and Responsibilities

• 80% work on weighbridges, 20% on platform and lab scales.
• Service, maintenance, calibration, repair, and installation of weighing systems.
• Basic mechanical work: spanners, jacking, lifting (approximately 20 kg).
• Electrical fault finding (240v AC/DC) with multimeter use.
• Home-based role within a 2.5-hour radius of your home, with some wider travel (e.g., Derby, Carlisle, Scotland) occasionally.
• Optional Saturday work available.

Hours & Earnings

• 40-hour contract – most engineers work ~50 hours per week.
• Paid door-to-door travel.
• 2.5 hours per day built-in for lunch and travel.
• Average ~10 hours overtime per week (paid at 1.5x).
• Easily hit £35,000+ per year, with more available for those who want extra hours.

What You'll Need
