Job summary

A leading scientific instruments manufacturer is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support Chromatography and Material Characterisation products. Responsibilities include performing field service tasks, providing user training, and maintaining service inventory. Candidates should have an HND in a relevant field, an understanding of analytical techniques, and a full driving license. This is a field-based role covering the M4 corridor, particularly Reading, Oxford, and Banbury areas.

  • Experience in GMP environments preferred.
  • Full driving license required.

Job description

CK Group are recruiting for a Field Service Engineer, on behalf of an industry leading manufacturer of Scientific Instruments, on a permanent basis.

The main product groups that will be supported in this position are Chromatography (GC, GC/MS, LC, LC/MS) and Material Characterisation (FTIR, UV/Vis and Thermal Analysis).

This position is Field Based M4 Corridor position, and the successful candidate will be based in the Reading, Oxford, or Banbury areas.

About the role

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Perform field service as advised by the call dispatch staff/system in conjunction with the Team Leader, carrying our repairs, preventative maintenance, qualifications, and installation.
  • Provide onsite user training on defined product groups
  • Maintains personal service spares issued and inventory records to the highest standard
  • Able to promote/sell instruments and service products including consumables and service contracts
About you

To be considered for the role, you will have the following skills and experience:

  • HND or equivalent in Electronic Engineering, Science, Biotechnology or similar discipline.
  • An understanding of analytical techniques and instrumentation as well awareness of instrument applications a benefit.
  • Experience of working in GMP environments preferred
  • Full Driving License
