This position involves maintaining and repairing load-handling equipment while covering various locations in the North West. Qualifications

  • Demonstrable technical experience in a similar mobile service role.
  • Experience with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Knowledge of plant equipment such as loader cranes and truck-mounted forklifts.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, service, and repair load-handling equipment.
  • Attend calls for repairs and fault finding.
  • Coordinate with the planning team and provide job updates.

Recruit4staff is proud to represent their client, a leading Manufacturing / Engineering company, in their search for a Field Service Engineer to work in their facility in Northallerton, covering various areas in the North West.

For the successful Field Service Engineer, our client offers:

  • Competitive salary up to £38,000 per annum
  • Overtime after 40 hours at x1.5
  • Monday to Friday, 8am - 4:30pm
  • Permanent days
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • On-call 1 in 5 weeks, £150 per call, with first 4 hours at double time

The Role – Field Service Engineer

  • Based from home, covering North West regions including Cumbria, Lancaster, York, and possibly Northallerton at times
  • Maintain, service, repair, and test load-handling equipment (cranes, forklifts, skip loaders)
  • Attend calls for repairs and fault finding
  • Coordinate with planning team and provide job updates

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable technical experience in a similar mobile service role (ESSENTIAL)
  • Experience with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems (ESSENTIAL)
  • Knowledge of plant equipment such as loader cranes, truck-mounted forklifts, forestry cranes, and loaders (ESSENTIAL)
  • Flexible with travel, tasks, and hours
  • Independent worker and problem solver
  • Excellent planning and time management skills
  • Full driving license
