Field Service Engineer

Location: Midlands and London field work (with travel to other parts of England)

Salary: £39,000 - £49,000 + Overtime (depending on experience).

About the Role

Our client has secured projects with Rail clients to maintain and troubleshoot train cleaning systems across key UK locations. We are seeking skilled Field Service Technicians to join the team and play a critical role in ensuring reliability and safety on rolling stock cleaning equipment. Our specialist maintenance teams of Technicians provide repair and maintenance of rolling stock as well as installation and maintenance of equipment, ensuring maximum availability and reliability of its services.

Key Responsibilities for the Technician
  • Investigate, fault‑find, and rectify issues on Train washer systems at various rail sites.
  • Perform maintenance and troubleshooting tasks.
  • Provide technical support and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Travel to Midlands/London and other locations around the UK.
Essential
  • Strong hands‑on experience with maintenance systems (fault finding and maintenance).
Desirable
  • Knowledge of Electrical systems.
  • Mechanical or Electrical qualifications or equivalent experience for the higher salary banding.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to different rail environments.

Salary of £39,000 for an Engineer – up to £49,000 for a skilled Senior Engineer (More experience commands a higher salary).
