ASD Primary Teacher – New Barn School

Location: New Barn School, Newbury, Berkshire RG20 8HZ

Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum + £5,000 Welcome Bonus

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (8:30am – 4:30pm daily; Wednesdays until 5:00pm)

Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only, Start: January 2026

Responsibilities
  • Bring learning to life, delivering tailored, hands‑on lessons that spark curiosity and confidence.
  • Design flexible, person‑centred programmes of study that support pupils academically, socially, and emotionally.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs and abilities of pupils.
  • Develop and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and set meaningful learning targets.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and carers to support each child's development.
Qualifications
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
