A leading biodiesel producer seeks a Field Operator in Ellesmere Port. This hands-on role involves assisting with the unloading and loading of materials, conducting laboratory tasks, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. Candidates should possess GCSEs in Maths and English and have experience in an industrial setting. We have an newopportunity for aField Operator to workin a plant environment assisting hauliers with the unloading and loading of materials and stock to the site, as well as undertaking logistics and laboratory tasks. This role will suit a someone that enjoys working in a'hands on'industrial setting as part ofa team.You will work a 4 on, 4 off, 12 hour dayshift pattern,which will include working weekends and public holidays.
Ensure drivers are inducted to Site and are aware of their responsibilities before assisting with loading and offloading of material
Carry out feedstock sampling of material and undertake basic laboratory testing in compliance with procedure
Control and administer the weighbridge for all materials and vehicles entering and leaving sit
Update the ERP system (Oracle) with all internal and external material movement
Ensure required documentation is in place to meet regulatory compliance
Work at height to undertake sampling and cleaning of tankers
As well as your immediate team, you will work closely with Plant personnel to ensure all requirements for materials/tankers are understood and with drivers /internal planning team on all Logistics/Tank Operations related matters.
Ability tofollowprocesses and procedures, yet be proactive when problems arise
Strong team player with good communication skills
Role model for driving HSE compliance in self and others
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills for data entry
PC and IT literate including knowledge of Microsoft Office
GCSE’s minimum grade 4 in Maths and English
Experience of workingin an Industrial setting with good safety practices
Previous logistics/tank operations experience (desirable)
Experience working at height / confined space (advantage)
Experience of jet washing would be (advantage)
FLT/Telehandler experience (desirable)
