Field Engineer Planner

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 40 per week

Location: Warwick (Hybrid)

Salary: £28,193

Shift Pattern: Rotating shifts

Shifts: Mon-Fri: 07:30-16:30, 08:00-17:00, 09:00-18:00, 10:00-19:00; Sat: 08:30-14:00 (1 in 3 rotation). Saturday shifts are adjusted to maintain 40 hours. Flexibility is essential.

Role Summary: Responsible for optimizing daily schedules for a field engineer workforce to meet service levels and customer expectations. Acts as a key contact for engineers and team managers, supporting operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maximize engineer utilization and reduce travel time.
  2. Manage same-day planning and job prioritization.
  3. Coordinate follow-up visits and parts ordering.
  4. Communicate effectively with internal teams and customers.
  5. Monitor job progress and resolve scheduling issues.
  6. Adapt to daily challenges and ensure resource efficiency.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience with scheduling/planning systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and multitasking skills.
  • Calm under pressure with a proactive attitude.
  • Excellent communication and PC skills (Word, Excel).
