Job description
Overview

Our Hepatology team at UHDB have an exciting new role to support our IQILS accredited service. The new fibroscan technician post holder will support the multidisciplinary team across our five sites to provide high quality and timely fibroscan services to our patients. Training will be provided but it is essential that any candidate considering applying for this post has relevant experience in a busy healthcare setting and an understanding of communication when caring for our patients. It is essential that the post holder is able to drive to deliver fibroscan services at community sites as well as at our main sites.

Responsibilities
  • Effectively deliver fibroscan’s to a high standard and in accordance with local and national training protocols.
  • Support the team in developing the fibroscan service.
  • Work effectively with the multi-disciplinary team.
  • Contribute to the quality assurance process departmentally and undertake audit and quality improvement as required.
  • Support the team with accurate data collection.
  • Act as a liaison for all healthcare professionals involved in health care provision to facilitate integrated patient focused care.
  • Treat all patients with dignity, respect and high standards of care.
  • Assist with raising awareness of liver disease.
  • Ability to move fibroscan equipment between sites.
Requirements
