Overview

Creative Support is looking for a warm and caring Residential Care Worker to join our Care Home (The Laurels) in Carlisle, Cumbria. We provide quality care and support to residents, helping them lead a fulfilling and enriched life. Our service has been recognised as one of the 20 top rated Care Homes in the region based on published reviews from residents and their family and friends.

Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and the administration of medication for older adults, including residents with dementia.
  • Develop warm and trusting relationships with service users enabling them to enjoy their time at the service to the fullest.
  • Support residents to follow their passions and engage in a range of activities, arranging enjoyable and entertaining experiences for all of our residents.
  • Assist with communication and sharing activities with residents\' families and friends as appropriate.
Qualifications and requirements
  • No previous care experience needed; passion for providing person-centred care and working in a fun environment.
  • Full training is provided, with opportunity to work towards a QCF Diploma in Health and Social Care.
  • Evidence of vaccination needs to be demonstrated as part of the pre-employment process.
