Chadwick Nott are pleased to be working with a well-regarded and forward-thinking law firm in Dorset, currently seeking a Family Lawyer to join their expanding team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Newly Qualified Solicitor or someone with up to 2 years’ PQE to develop their career within a supportive and collaborative environment. The successful candidate will work alongside a highly experienced Family Lawyer and gain exposure to a broad range of family law matters.

The Role

You will manage your own caseload and assist with a variety of family law issues, including:

• Divorce and separation

• Financial remedy proceedings

• Child arrangements and related disputes

• Advocacy and court representation where appropriate

Candidate Requirements

This role is ideally suited to a Newly Qualified Solicitor or FCILEx, or someone with up to 2 years’ post-qualification experience. Candidates must be able to demonstrate:

• A solid grounding in Family Law, gained through training or post-qualification experience

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Professional integrity and discretion

• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines

• A proactive and client-focused approach

• Competence in Microsoft Office and case management systems

• Access to own transport and ability to commute to Dorchester

Location & Working Arrangements

The role is primarily based in Dorchester, with occasional travel to other offices. Hybrid working is available following a probationary period. Candidates should live within reasonable commuting distance. Applications from those seeking alternative working patterns (e.g. 4-day week) are welcome.
