Pay: £31,954 - £34,860 actual

Type: Long‑term until October 31st 2026

Hours: Full‑time

Elementa Support Services is working with a large academy school based in Kingswood, South Gloucestershire, to appoint a dedicated Family Hub Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional with experience in student support and a background in pastoral management, family support, or leadership in an education setting, to make a positive impact within a vibrant educational setting.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will oversee the Family Hub operations, providing essential support to students and their families, and working closely with staff to promote a nurturing, inclusive environment. This role is pivotal in supporting the academy’s vision to enhance student wellbeing and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop the Family Hub, ensuring it effectively meets the needs of students and families.
  • Lead on pastoral care initiatives and take a proactive approach to supporting student wellbeing.
  • Encourage strong partnerships with families, local agencies, and community stakeholders.
  • Assist in implementing policies and procedures related to pastoral support and family engagement.
  • Coordinate resources and support services that complement the academy’s broader educational goals.
  • Support staff with strategies to improve student attendance, behaviour, and social‑emotional development.
Candidate Profile
  • Proven experience in student support roles.
  • Previous experience in a pastoral management or lead role, demonstrating strong leadership and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to build trust with families and community partners.
  • A compassionate, approachable manner with a clear understanding of pastoral and family support.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and compliance protocols pertinent to working with children and families.

Contract & recruitment information
